My top 3 fitness FAQs

As a fitness instructor, I hear a lot of questions but these are the top 3 I hear most often. Maybe you’ve wondered these before but were too shy to reach out and ask. Message me any time!

  1. How often do you exercise?
I try to move my body in some way 5 days a week. It’s a consistent routine of strength training, cardio and yoga, with other exercise like walking with my family mixed in there. It doesn’t have to be a super intense HIIT class to count as a good workout. Rest days are important too!

  2. How long are your workouts?
I try to do about 35 minutes per session. Sometimes it’s longer, like for a Zumba or yoga class, and other times it might be shorter, like a 20-minute walk. The point is you don’t need to spend 2 hours a day at the gym to see results. You can make it work for a busy lifestyle.

  3. What should I focus on?
This really depends on your goals, but the one form of exercise women most commonly skip is strength training. We’re either worried about getting bulky (myth!) or don’t know how to do it properly and are embarrassed/scared to try. You may think that cardio is what will help you lose weight, but weightlifting will help you achieve all kinds of off-scale victories and you’ll see bigger and better results.
